Alright ladies...it’s time to crank up that sex-appeal! This is your
one-stop-shop for Cocktail Dress Education 101, and I’m the professor. Today I
wanted to talk to you about the Hottest Designers for Cocktail Dresses. I need
your eyes and ears open because class is now in session!

There’s something about a cocktail dress that exudes elegance while
generously showing off the feminine frame. These dresses can be worn for a
handful of occasions. Also, the term ‘cocktail dress’ is very broad--it can mean
many things. I don’t want you to think you’re limited to the generic, yet
common, strapless skin tight dress. I know I definitely want more options than
that, which is why I’m here. I want to show you choices--because let’s face it,
choosing a cocktail dress (or any dress for that matter) is not an easy
task!

I’m always on the prowl for a hot new number. What I love about cocktail dresses
is that I don’t have to wait for a special occasion to start looking for one --
they’re always handy! Besides, who doesn’t love a little retail therapy? I always start by browsing online because it’s less overwhelming. It’s also good for someone who isn’t sure what exactly they want in a dress--which is me most of the time. Anyway, when I found some dresses to my liking, I began to notice a pattern; many of the dresses I found were either by Jovani, Sherri Hill, or Allure. These designers are known for their long gowns for prom, red-carpet, and other special events. I was beyond surprised when I saw that they also rock the house in cocktail dresses.

This Jovani Cocktail Dress is really something. Ever hear the term ‘little black dress’ or LBD? Well, I think this LBD has been kicked up a few notches. It shows you can wear black while still looking fun and flirty. What drew me to this dress was the fact that it looked like a sweetheart neckline, but with an added mesh top. With Jovani, you’re bound to find dresses that have that little extra something.

Now this is a traffic stopper! For some reason, I think long sleeve cocktail dresses are gorgeous--and Sherri Hill definitely did them justice! You would think long sleeve means to look more conservative, but after seeing this I think we can all argue that this is NOT the case.

It’s time to kick this cocktail party into overdrive! This dress by Allure just Wowed me. Between the sequined top and the feathered bottom, I don’t know where to look first; my eyes just fixate on the entire look. Not to mention, this aqua blue kind of color is my favorite!
Remember what I said about having choices when it comes to cocktail dresses? Well there you have it! Plus, now you know what the hottest designers are up to. Until next time--class is dismissed!
